Military Affairs Committee
Connecting Bay County's Business & Military Communities
Bay County's military installations, service members and families are an integral part of our community—and the relationship between our military and business communities is one of Bay County's greatest strengths.
The Military Affairs Committee (MAC) of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen that relationship by creating meaningful connections between Chamber members and military leaders, supporting service members and their families, and fostering a greater understanding of the important role the military plays throughout Bay County.
A Community Connected to Those Who Serve
Bay County is proud to be home to a significant military presence, including Tyndall Air Force Base, Naval Support Activity Panama City and U.S. Coast Guard Station Panama City.
But being a military community means more than having installations within our borders.
It means welcoming the men and women who serve here. It means supporting military families who become our neighbors, customers, employees and friends. And it means building lasting relationships between military leaders and the businesses and organizations that call Bay County home.
That's where MAC comes in.

MAC & the Bay Defense Alliance
Bay County's support for the military takes many forms, and the Military Affairs Committee and Bay Defense Alliance serve complementary—but distinct—roles.
MAC focuses on relationships. It connects the business and military communities through engagement, education, programs and opportunities to support service members and their families.
The Bay Defense Alliance (BDA) focuses on the long-term strategic interests of Bay County's military installations and missions, working with community, state and defense partners to support their stability, growth and continued presence in the region.
Together with other community partners, these efforts help ensure Bay County remains both a community that supports its military and a community the military is proud to call home.
