Foundation
The Bay County Chamber Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(6) nonprofit managed by the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, serves as the driving force behind initiatives that shape Bay County’s future. As the lead organization for community advancement, the Foundation is dedicated to expanding knowledge and awareness in critical areas such as economics, public policy, finance, education and workforce development, housing, human relations, minority issues, science and technology, and international affairs. Its mission centers on fostering innovation, improving efficiency, and accelerating both the quality and quantity of economic growth and job creation in our region.
Education Programs
The Bay County Chamber Foundation offers a range of educational programs including Leadership Bay, Junior Leadership Bay, Bay Young Professionals, the Education Committee, Career Connections, Educators in Industry, continuing education, and more. These initiatives are designed to educate and empower individuals at every stage—from high school students exploring their futures to seasoned professionals enhancing their skills.

Leadership Bay
Founded in 1983, Leadership Bay is a community leadership development program. Based on the premise that people are our most important resource, the purpose of the program is to offer potential leaders a curriculum in community leadership training. Participation is limited.

Junior Leadership Bay
Founded by the Leadership Bay Class of 2000, Junior Leadership Bay is a program for high school juniors designed to prepare Bay County’s future leaders. Participants engage in hands-on activities, discussions, and interactions with community leaders, gaining the skills needed to meet tomorrow’s challenges. Participation is limited, offering a unique opportunity for growth.
Bay Young Professionals
Bay Young Professionals, also known as BYP, is a program created by the Leadership Bay Class of 2006. BYP offers opportunities to develop leadership skills with additional experiences beyond the classroom and job environment.
Education Committee
The Education Committee serves as the liaison between the business community and the Bay County Education System. Members assist in the planning and implementation of programs aimed to provide opportunities to prepare students to enter the workforce.
