Position: Construction Staff Architectural Engineer
Employment Type: Full-Time
Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Engineer to be responsible for the evaluation and design of D0D / Federal Government construction projects. The Architectural Engineer is responsible for working with internal departments and external parties on General and Civil Construction building and design projects, ensuring the structural and functional integrity of building structures and systems, and identifying and solving design flaws.
Architectural Engineer to handle projects from the initial client briefing through to the final stages of construction and serve as the primary point of contact working on all architecture projects. The Architect’s responsibilities include managing client relationships, developing and presenting design proposals, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, construction documents and managing project teams. Has the ability to find effective solutions to fit with the project’s timeline, budget, and DoD/ Federal Government objectives and deliver on the DoD/Federal Government client’s requirements.
ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing design build projects from concept development through to completion
- Managing project teams and collaborating with other construction professionals.
- Establishing project goals
- Reading, Interpreting, and explaining complex technical documents
- Complying with safety standards and local planning regulations
- Meeting with DoD / government clients and determining their needs and requirements
- Identifying and solving problems in building plans, prototypes, and structures.
- Developing and presenting DoD / government project proposals
- Determining and adhering to budgets and timelines
- Consulting with clients on building projects
- Assisting team members with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Adjusting designs and plans to meet the client’s needs
- Ensuring building systems are functional, reliable, and safe.
- Participating in site visits
- Ensuring building plans, prototypes, and structures are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Architectural Engineer Requirements:
- Must have previous experience of DoD/government technology, building codes and regulatory standards.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Architecure/engineering field for construction
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required
- The ability to diagram designs both manually and with computer-aided drafting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, etc.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must US Citizenship with ability to obtain and pass Pre-employment Drug Test and Background Check for installation/base access
- Maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance
