Be the Welcome. Build the Connection.
Ambassadors are some of the most visible and engaged members of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce. They help welcome new members, celebrate business milestones, support Chamber events, and create connections throughout Bay County's business community.
By serving as an Ambassador, you have the opportunity to represent the Chamber while building relationships, increasing your visibility, and helping fellow members feel connected from the moment they join.
MORE THAN A WELCOME COMMITTEE
Ambassadors play an important role in creating the welcoming, connected environment that defines the Bay County Chamber.
They are often among the first Chamber representatives a new member meets and are a familiar presence at ribbon cuttings, grand openings, networking events, and other Chamber activities.
In many ways, Ambassadors put a face to the Chamber—helping members make connections, discover opportunities, and become part of the Bay County business community.
What Ambassadors Do
Ambassadors stay actively involved throughout the year and help strengthen the connection between the Chamber and its members.
Celebrate Business Milestones
Participate in ribbon cuttings, grand openings, groundbreakings, and other celebrations recognizing businesses as they open, expand, invest, and grow in Bay County.
Welcome New Members
Welcome new Chamber members by delivering new-member materials, making introductions, and helping them discover opportunities to connect and engage with the Chamber.
Support Chamber Events
Serve as a welcoming presence at First Friday, Business After Hours, and other Chamber programs and events.
Build Relationships
Connect with new and existing members, introduce people throughout the Chamber network, and help create an environment where relationships can grow.
Recognize Outstanding Service
Participate in the Chamber's Apple of Our Eye Awards and other opportunities to recognize individuals and organizations making a difference in Bay County.
Stay Connected
Attend monthly Ambassador meetings to stay informed about Chamber activities, upcoming opportunities, and ways to support fellow members.

Who Should Become an Ambassador?
The Ambassador program is a great fit for Chamber members who enjoy meeting people, building relationships, supporting local businesses, and becoming more involved in the community.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy meeting and welcoming new people
- Want to expand your professional network
- Are looking for greater involvement in the Chamber
- Want to increase your visibility in the business community
- Enjoy celebrating and supporting other businesses
- Are willing to serve as a positive representative of the Chamber
You don't need to be a longtime Chamber member or already know everyone in the room. Being an Ambassador is one of the ways you can start building those relationships.
Ambassador Commitment
Being an Ambassador is an active volunteer role. Members are asked to make a consistent commitment to the Chamber and fellow members throughout the year.
Attend Monthly Ambassador Meetings
Stay informed, connected, and involved with upcoming Chamber activities and Ambassador initiatives.
Participate in Chamber Activities
Support ribbon cuttings, grand openings, groundbreakings, First Friday, Business After Hours, and other Chamber programs and events.
Welcome New Members
Help welcome new Chamber members, make introductions, and connect them with opportunities, resources, and people within the Chamber.
Represent the Chamber Professionally
Serve as a positive and welcoming representative of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce throughout the business community.
Annual Ambassador Fee: $35
