Camp will be based out of St. Andrews State Park located at 4607 State Park Lane Panama City, FL. There will be off-site field adventures throughout the week.

Overview: Join our dynamic team at Emerald Forgotten Coast Adventures for an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate young minds about marine science! We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate Marine Science Camp Instructor to co-lead our summer camp program. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on, engaging, and educational experiences in marine science and helping youth gain an understanding of how they can make a difference as an environmental steward!

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Educational Sessions: Facilitate daily marine science lessons and engaging activities; guide campers in interactive, hands-on experiences and discussions
Ensure Camper Safety: Prioritize the safety and well-being of all campers while actively supervising them during camp activities.
Collaborate with Team: Work with fellow instructors and camp staff
Provide Enthusiastic Leadership: Serve as a positive role model, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere where campers feel supported and excited to learn.
Assist with Camp Operations: Help with logistics, setup and breakdown of camp activities, ensuring all materials and equipment are ready for the day.
Transportation: Drive passenger van, transporting campers to/from field excursions.
Qualifications:
Must be 25 years old or older – to drive a rental passenger van.
Must be available for Camp Session 1: June 9-13 and/or Camp Session 2: July 21-25.
Must be able to pass a background check
Education: A degree in marine biology, environmental science, education, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Prior experience working with youth in an outdoor or educational setting
Passion for Marine Science: A strong interest in marine ecosystems and environmental conservation.
Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to engage and educate youth with enthusiasm and clarity.
Physical Fitness: Ability to participate in outdoor activities in various weather conditions. Ability to swim and be comfortable in and around water.
First Aid/CPR Certified (or willing to obtain certification before camp starts).
Lifeguard Certified (or willing to obtain certification before camp starts).
Team Player: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexible and Adaptable: Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle challenges with a positive attitude.
Stipend/Pay Rate: $17/hr, $680 for the Week
Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday (only during listed 2025 Camp Sessions)
