Part-time Administrative Assistant
Job Description The primary function of this position is to provide administrative and client support to the Veterans Business Outreach Center. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours on occasion are essential to this position.

Essential Duties Summary Answer phone calls, emails and communicate effectively in a professional manner.
Direct veteran clients, community members, and staff to the VBOC Director, VBOC counselors or other campus units as needed.
Deliver inter-department deliveries and mailings to bookstore.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with GCSC staff and the public. Maintain training materials inventory as needed; print, assemble and pack materials; coordinate with VBOC business consultant conducting the training to verify all of their requirements are met.
Assist with data entry into the VBOC’s client database management system.
Maintain and update base-specific information on the VBOC’s shared drive.
Help coordinate and support VBOC outreach events.
Assist in updating and maintaining media database.
Assist VBOC Director with budgeting and financial tracking.
Conduct client research, using online and library resources.
Conduct client follow-up via phone and email to assess their progress since last contact.
Required Qualifications Associates degree required from an accredited college
Competence and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Outlook
Proficiency in English business writing with strong proofreading ability is required.
Preferred Qualifications Two-three (2-3) years of office work experience preferred.
Military experience and/or military family relationship beneficial.
