Suicide Awareness Summit

Join us for our annual Suicide Awareness Summit at FSU Panama City in the St. Joe Lecture Hall inside the Holley Academic Building. This is a free event open to the community that will discuss issues and solutions surrounding mental health and suicide.

This year’s summit theme is “Hope in Suicide Prevention: Where Do We Find It?” The keynote speaker is Dr. Scott Poland, Director of the Suicide and Violence Prevention Office, Nova Southeastern University.

Evidence-based training will be provided to participants. This is an in-person event. Two Continuing Education (CE) credits are available at no charge for licensed mental health professionals who attend the full event in person, thanks to the generous contributions of the sponsors of this year’s annual Suicide Awareness Summit. 2.0 CEUs provided through GCSC, an approved provider (50-833) of contact hours (2) for LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, CMSW, RN, APRN, LPN.

The event will be livestreamed on YouTube on the Florida State University Panama City channel, accessible here: 2024 FSU Suicide Summit – YouTube. CEs are not available for anyone watching the event on livestream during or after the summit.
