MLK Festival to celebrate unity and diversity at Sharon Sheffield Park

The community is invited to join the City of Lynn Haven for a day of inspiration and celebration at the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Festival on January 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Sharon Sheffield Park.
On behalf of the community, the City of Lynn Haven is honored to continue partnering with the Advisory Committee for Urban Revitalization Equity (A-CURE) in the more than three decades long tradition of hosting the Martin Luther King Jr. Festival. This commemorative event will feature captivating performances from local organizations, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry that unites us. Starting at 11:30 AM, elected officials will grace the occasion as guest speakers to share insights into the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Attendees can expect a variety of meal and treat options from food trucks and explore the offerings from booth vendors, adding an extra layer of vibrancy to the festivities. In addition, festival t-shirts will be available to purchase at the Lynn Haven City Booth, starting at $15.

This festival promises a day of reflection, entertainment, and camaraderie, reinforcing the principles that Dr. King dedicated his life to. According to City Manager Vickie Gainer, “The City of Lynn Haven is excited to continue the heartfelt tradition of the MLK Festival. Our goal is to grow this festival to be an event where our community can come together to help remember and honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We look forward to this celebration and hope for your attendance.”
