City of Springfield Celebrates 11th Annual Founders’ Day

The City of Springfield invites the public to celebrate its 89th anniversary on Saturday March 2, 2024, with its Founders’ Day Celebration. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. with a presentation of the flag and the singing of the National Anthem at Henry Brooks Memorial Walking Park, located at 3529 E 3rd Street Springfield, Florida 32401.
We are asking for your support for our event with a donation to our fundraising campaign. This year all proceeds will go towards the City of Springfield Event Fund, allows us to provide the community with free events throughout the year. Our Fall Event Series originally began in 2016 as the Public Safety Fall Festival, and was expanded in 2023 to include a movie series. In 2023 we averaged 100 people at each movie, and approximately 1,500 people attended the Fall Festival. In 2023, we started our Sliding Into Summer event. The event featured five water slides, free hot dogs and drinks, and games. The event was attended by approximately 700 people.
