|Veterans Business Outreach Center Business Consultant|
|Job Description||This position is responsible for delivering all VBOC counseling and training of small business, including addressing concerns and potential concerns encountered within businesses owned and controlled by Veterans. Counseling will include business skill services and assistance in the areas of startup, financial, management, and marketing.
Assist VBOC Manager with budgeting and grant management to meet VBOC program deliverables, as well as prepare SBA forms for reimbursement.
This position requires frequent travel within the service area, which may include the northern region of the state.
This position is sensitive in nature and requires a criminal background screening.
|Essential Duties Summary||• Small Business counseling and mentoring
• Help in recognizing problems and determining solutions
• Data entry and query with Management Information System
• Administrative duties include client file maintenance
• Business outreach
• VBOC Program Advocacy and outreach include public speaking
• Teaching Business workshops
• Website content overview and resource utilization
|Required Qualifications||Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Extensive shared knowledge, skill and ability mentoring utilizing one-on-one, group, and /or E-based methods is required.
The ability to be flexible in scheduling work hours including coverage demands due to training periods and equipment problems is required.
The ability to work flexible hours and regular attendance at work are essential functions of this position.
The ability to travel locally and out of town on college related business and training is required.
