LYNN HAVEN — Tom P. Haney Technical Center has announced that it will offer 50 new scholarships of up to $1,400 to cover tuition, books and other fees for new students struggling since Hurricane Michael.
The scholarships are for the 2021-22 school year for high school graduates who have graduated between October 2018 and June 2021. Haney will begin accepting admission applications June 1, and students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship after they apply for admission.
According to Haney officials, the school’s average job placement rate is about 85%, but many of its programs have job placement rates higher than 90%.
